About My Clients
If you've tried therapy before and felt it wasn't the right fit, we may work well together. My approach is attachment-based and client-led. With experience across diverse settings, I’ve had the privilege of working with a broad range of clients, including through substance use and AIDS treatment, mental health centers, and private practice.
My Background and Approach
I am Level 1 trained in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, a unique, warm treatment for complex trauma. My number one goal as a therapist is to truly understand my client, with respect and curiosity for their unique identities and idiosyncrasies. I strive to create space for you to express your inner world and have it be truly honored and held. Psychodynamic therapy focuses on exploring how past experiences, unconscious patterns, and unresolved conflicts influence current thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. In this process, we work together to uncover underlying emotions and gain deeper insight into how these patterns show up in your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I do not believe in a cookie-cutter or standardized approach to psychotherapy. I believe we heal in relationships, both in the therapy space and in our personal worlds. I view individuals through both person-in-environment and environment-in-person framework, this means I pay special attention to your inner world (dreams, fantasies, belief system, trauma history) and the world we live in (socio-economic factors, identity, access to services in your community, etc)
