My Background and Approach
Hello! I am an alumna of the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Work Policy and Practice where I received my Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) in 2020 and Rutgers University where I received my MSW in 2011. I have worked in the field of mental and behavioral health since 2007. Additionally, I have been a New Jersey Approved Clinical Supervisor since 2016, and have experience providing clinical supervision for Licensed Social Workers (LSW) and Licensed Associate Counselors (LAC) towards terminal licensure. In addition to providing clinical supervision, consultation, and presentations, I have extensive clinical experience working in various settings with a wide variety of populations as a clinical social worker. These experiences have offered me significant experience with many clinical struggles including those mentioned on the specialties section.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My doctoral research was focused on incorporating themes and concepts from intersectionality and intersectional identity into clinical spaces: beyond that, I incorporate these principles into my work and my perspectives on the world. I believe some of the most important conversations we can have as communities and within ourselves relates to how each of us engages and can ultimately dismantle large (and largely invisible) systems of oppression.
