About My Clients
Do you feel isolated? Stressed? Confused? Are you having difficulty managing your life? You’re not alone. Our world has been especially challenging lately and it is normal to feel overwhelmed and to not know what to do or where to turn. We can work together to explore the things that you’re struggling with, in a safe and caring environment. We will use CBT, DBT, and integrate Buddhist psychology to help you find relief from suffering.
My Background and Approach
I can assist you in developing powerful tools to cope with the challenges of living in a complex and, let’s face it, often scary world. We will work collaboratively to access your inner resources and wisdom so you can experience meaning and joy in your life. For the past ten years, I have helped people with mood issues (depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder), trauma, grief/loss, stress, and life changes. My approach includes using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Buddhist Psychology.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a social worker, I am deeply committed to treating my clients (and all people) with respect and kindness. I strive to create an inclusive practice and believe in the innate goodness of all people. My deeply held belief in the basic goodness of all people fuels my enthusiasm and commitment to the field of social work and psychotherapy. Let's work collaboratively so you can get relief from your suffering and live a joyful and meaningful life.
