I bring curiosity and a complete lack of judgement to the work I do with individuals around relationships, with dyads/couples, and with those in multiple partnerships. Much of the work we do is around deconstructing normative ideas about what relationships are "supposed" to look like, and do introspection around what kind of relationship would work best for the person in question, and how to go about making that happen.

I work with people across the spectrum of power role identification, gender expression, and sexual orientation, as well as those who are unsure of or evolving through identifications. My therapeutic approach is integrative, person-centered, holistic, and tailored to fit the people I work with; I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all therapeutic approach, and integrate different methods as each collaboration indicates.

I have extensive training in all gender identities and expressions, and have personal experience living in multiple embodied iterations of gender across several decades. Because of this, while I have a deep understanding of gender identity across all genders, I also know that each person's journey is singular. I will not project or assume, or tell anyone who they are. Instead, we'll join the conversation in solidarity.

I’ve completed EMDRIA-approved EMDR Basic Training through the Parnell Institute, which specializes in Attachment-Focused EMDR, and can do EMDR remotely and in-person. While EMDR has a very specific protocol, I find it just as important to tailor the process to the individual as with any other therapeutic approach. I approach EMDR with a trauma-informed lens, meaning I am less directive than many other EMDR therapists, and you'll always be in control of the process.

We often are doing IFS or parts work without even knowing it, so I find it naturally becomes integrated into therapy with most people to some degree. We are constantly in dialogue with ourselves, and much of the work I do with IFS has to do with differentiating between internalized normativity and oppression, and with the authentic self.

We are not robots and we are not clones (as far as I know), and we are not cookies, therefore I don't approach therapy with anyone using a one-size-fits-all cookie-cutter approach. I've been trained in many modalities, and I let them all stay on the back burner until we get to know each other, and inevitably the right modalities for our work start stepping to the front to make themselves known.
