About My Clients
I have worked with infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, adults, and veteran populations in individual and group therapy. Clients have come to me with a vast range of concerns to include anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, disordered eating, social/employment anxiety, grief, death/dying, and mood disorders. While I have a bevy of knowledge and experience working with diverse groups, my focus is on young adults to older adults experiencing different life concerns.
My Background and Approach
I like to balance evidence-based therapeutic techniques like those found in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing with techniques found in Somatic Therapy and Feminist Therapy. I tend to utilize Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Therapy to aid clients in enacting change. Also, I am currently working towards a Somatic Experiencing Fellowship. While I may be seen as the therapeutic expert in context to session, I wholeheartedly believe that clients are the experts in themselves and their own lived experiences.
