About My Clients
I have spent over 21 years working with individuals, couples, and groups. I see individuals 16 and over experiencing anxiety, sadness, grief, and stress.
My Background and Approach
My background includes cognitive behavioral therapy, behavior modification, mindfulness techniques, strengths-based, and solution focused frameworks. As a lifelong learner, I am trauma-informed, strive to be culturally sensitive, and am an LGBTQ+ ally. Using a variety of assessment tools and frameworks, I help individuals adjust to life after a significant event, reduce sadness and anxiety, and change negative patterns and behaviors.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone is unique and that there is no single way to navigate through life. I have often needed counseling myself, both as an individual and in my marriage. Deep rooted shame stemming from childhood patterns can, during times of stress, lead to experiencing more anxiety and sadness. This is true for so many of us! Whether you have experienced religious trauma, are afraid to ask for what you need, or simply need to refocus your life, I can empower and help you find your voice.
