About My Clients
I most often see clients who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community and are between the ages of 15 and 40. I have a strong background in working with clients with complex trauma. I also have knowledge and expertise pertaining to polyamory, non-monogamy, queer platonic partners, and nontraditional relationships. I see individuals, couples, and polycules. If you are looking to manage depression, anxiety, (C)PTSD, relationship issues, coming out, gender affirmation, etc., we may be a good fit.
My Background and Approach
I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed, health at every size philosophy following, poly/non-monogamy knowledgeable, neurodivergence affirming therapist. I believe that clients know themselves best, including what they need to heal, what works and doesn't work for them, and what pace is right for them. I support clients by drawing from their own strengths, values, and personal insights to work toward meaningful goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a proud queer person, I have the lived experience to understand the significance of community and chosen family, the challenges of discrimination and bias, the nuances of coming out, and the power of validation and acceptance. Working to directly serve my community by supporting mental health for other LGBTQIA+ folks is deeply significant to me. Trans lives matter. In my practice, I affirm that Black Lives Matter, anti-racism is essential to cultivating justice and healing, and that recognizing the racialized impact of systems on mental health is crucial. I understand the damaging impact of fatphobia and practice from a Health at Every Size (HAES) perspective. I am poly/ENM/kinky/queer affirming and actively welcome clients to bring these themes of their life experiences into therapy. I believe that neurodivergent folks deserve therapy which affirms who they are, how their minds work, and what works best for them to cope and thrive.
