About My Clients
I most commonly serve those with anxiety disorders, and eating disorders/disordered eating, and those working through life transitions. I see adults (18+) of all identities, in all phases of life, as well as parents and caregivers navigating a loved one in eating disorder treatment. I also work with parents and caregivers who are navigating a child entering or going through eating disorder treatment.
My Background and Approach
My clinical focus is the treatment of eating disorders and I have experience working in residential, Partial Hospitalization, and Intensive Outpatient levels of care with both eating disorders and substance use disorders. I am passionate about the mind-body connection and helping guide clients on their path using a holistic approach. I see treatment through a person-centered, collaborative lens to help my clients voice their needs and set goals that feel attainable for where they are in their unique journey. Additionally, I utilize narrative techniques to bring awareness to the importance of language in the way we perceive our past experiences, as well as how we continue to author our ongoing stories.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every human is worthy and capable of connecting with their best selves. That being said, I also practice awareness that this may path may look different across populations due to systemic oppression. As a therapist with thin, white, and cisgender privilege, I am committed to continuing my education of the unique lived-experiences of those who are not afforded the same privileges in our world.
