About My Clients
My clients are aware that something is not working and are motivated for change, even if they're not sure where exactly that change starts. My clients are often very conscious of the systemic stressors that make their lives more difficult, and come to me looking for support as they navigate challenges and imagine their futures.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in identity exploration, trauma-focused practice, and LGBTQIA+ mental health. I use a blend of talk therapy and drama therapy to engage my clients in reflection on their present challenges from an embodied perspective, and provide a fuller understanding of how their past shows up in their present.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a therapist, an LGBTQIA+ competency consultant, an educator for therapists-in-training, and a supervisor. I am committed to advocacy and education outside of the clinical space, in efforts of making my clients' lives safer beyond the therapy hour. I bring myself into my work, and hope to challenge the old idea that therapists inherently know more than their clients.
