About My Clients
I focus on using your strengths in order to better achieve your goals. I provide education and support to help craft tools you can use to handle life’s most difficult challenges and feel more fulfilled. We pull from a variety of evidence-based practices in order to create a service specifically for you. We aim to provide quality therapeutic care through education, support, empathy, and empowerment.
My Background and Approach
I have been passionate about psychology since my teen years. I began my career in 2015 providing Applied Behavior Analysis to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and co-morbid diagnoses. This experience inspires me to use the behavioral perspective in my clinical work today, and and combine it with other techniques creating highly effective services. I have worked in multiple settings in the mental health field and felt that the agencies were not providing the best support. I founded Growth & Wellness PLLC in 2022 to cultivate an environment of respect and encouragement so that the people I serve can get the quality of care they deserve. I am licensed with the State of Michigan as a Master’s Limited Psychologist. I am a member of the American Psychological Association. I am a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that people are capable of growth throughout their life if they receive the right support. I also acknowledge that mental health cannot be isolated from environmental and socioeconomic factors. Personally and professionally I support creating equity for marginalized communities, including BIPOC and LGBT+ communities. I believe it is important for me to conduct business by using sustainable supplies, and engage in environmentally friendly practices in my personal life. I am an animal lover, and when I am able, I love to foster dogs through my favorite no-kill rescue. I am politically active, and use my voice to create change to our systems by attending local town halls, writing to my representatives, signing petitions, and marching.
