About My Clients
My clients are like you. They're smart and capable, but have gone through something traumatic and now want to be able to stop looking over their shoulder. They want to dial down their relentless anxiety and get a decent night’s sleep. They'd love to be more social or even just movie without fear that they'll have to leave early or change the channel if something reminds them of that terrible thing that happened to them.
My Background and Approach
I’ve provided specialized trauma care nationally and internationally using research backed gold-standard interventions. I’ve worked for the federal government in specialty PTSD clinics as well as in private practice. I am trained in running individual and group sessions in both residential and outpatient settings. I have specialized training in providing remote therapy. I was a featured mental health crisis provider in HBO’s academy award winning documentary “Crisis Hotline: Veterans Press 1.”
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I started my career working on a crisis hotline, helping people through the worst day of their lives (wish I was kidding). And the longer I did that work, the more I valued wanting to help people strengthen their lives to prevent crisis from happening in the first place. Therapy is not a "cure all." It doesn't change things that you don't want to change, but it CAN help you to develop stronger relationships with others and with yourself. I believe that people want to get better, but often times don't know how. Or they fell overwhelmed with all the conflicting information available. That's why I've devoted my career to studying therapeutic approaches that have been proven to reduce anxiety, depression, and PTSD symptoms. I've seen my clients reclaim their lives after going through things like, vehicle accidents, rape, violence, combat, assault, and those impacted by how these things have affected their loved ones. You don't have to struggle. Therapy can help.
