About My Clients
Are you feeling lost, adrift, and confused? Are you journeying through life with your emotions at the wheel, while you’re stuck in the passenger seat? Has it been this way for months, years, or as long as you can remember? Depression and anxiety can make all aspects of life – relationships, responsibilities at work and home, and the things you enjoy – feel like impossible tasks. You’re not alone, and I’m glad you’re looking for help. Let’s work together.
My Background and Approach
During individual sessions, I focus on providing you with a space where you are free to be your authentic self, where you can express your thoughts and feelings without judgment. We will work together to form a strong therapeutic relationship, and I will support you in using your natural strengths to overcome obstacles and build the life you want. I have taught Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills in a variety of settings, and I am part of a DBT Consultation Team comprised of colleagues who meet weekly and support one another in clinical practice. I am in the process of completing a rigorous 16-month course to become Intensively Trained in DBT through Behavioral Tech, and I have been trained in Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R) through the Beck Institute. I often integrate DBT skills into individual sessions, based on each client’s goals and preferences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am part of the LGBTQIA+ community, and when I’m not wearing my therapist cap, I enjoy hiking and kayaking, playing video and board games, and hanging out with my two black cats and brindle pup.
