About My Clients
Currently accepting new clients and supervisees.
My Background and Approach
I utilize feminist therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, narrative therapy, EMDR, Inference-based therapy for OCD, and relational therapy. Mindfulness is the transformative power of non-judgemental awareness. I believe that transformation occurs through being present with ourselves. Narrative therapy involves exploring the impacts of the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves, the world, and other people. I have additional training in working with folks dealing with eating disorders and disordered eating through The Center for Body Trust.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Through mindfulness, self-compassion, mind-body connection, and exploring the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves, the world, and other people, we can strengthen our connection our inner wisdom and sense of self. I view therapy as a collaborative process in which we both bring our own experiences and skills. I believe that we are all the experts of our own experiences. I view myself as a facilitator of slowing down, self-compassion, connecting with the ways in which feelings exist in our body, and exploring the ways in which we respond to our feelings and thoughts.
