About My Clients
Are you finding it challenging to navigate relationships? Stuck in a frustrating cycle with a partner, family member, or friend? My goal is to help you build the skills to unlock more fulfilling connections with those you care about. Our work together will focus on helping you explore thoughts, emotions, patterns, memories, and limiting belief systems. Through this work, we can begin to dismantle and heal these limiting belief systems, and relate to each other in more fulfilling ways.
My Background and Approach
I use a systemic approach to relational therapy to support you in your process of self-knowledge, healing, and connection. I strongly believe that because we operate in ecosystems of other individuals and relationships, it’s imperative to address what roles we play, what these dynamics look like, and how they may be interwoven throughout our experiences. Additionally, I bring interventions and themes from IFS, EFT, attachment concepts, and Gottman methods into sessions to encourage discovery and growth. I offer a warm, non-judgmental, and empathic environment where your concerns and emotions are truly heard and valued. You don't have to navigate this path alone. If you're ready to take the first step to improving your relationships and wellbeing, I invite you to reach out for a 15 minute free consultation!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Approaching therapy from a multiculturally competent and inclusive lens is necessary for the wellness of our clients and is something I do not take lightly. Continuing to grow, learn, and listen to the ways others experience this world is a lifelong journey. We have a responsibility as mental health professionals to advocate on behalf of our clients for positive change within our communities and on a larger scale. In addition to continually working to acknowledge and challenge my own biases and blindspots, I aim to continue my work with those who are incarcerated by providing probono Family Reintegration Counseling to non-profits working within the prison systems as a licensed counselor. It is crucial to acknowledge the barriers to quality and affordable mental health care those of lower socioeconomic status, marginalized communities, formerly incarcerated individuals, and BIPOC face. Through these efforts, I vow to create space for quality and affordable therapy for these communities.
