About My Clients
People seek therapy for so many reasons, but mostly we all want to feel valued, safe & understood. I want to help you strengthen your connection to others & feel confident to be your authentic self. I love working with a variety of individuals, but find the most connection with members of the queer, trans, and non-binary community. I address issues like anxiety, chronic stress, depression, and grief and loss.
My Background and Approach
With nearly two decades of experience working with adolescents in school-based and therapeutic settings, I have a unique understanding of some of the issues facing adolescents today. I aim to provide a safe & connected space for my clients to explore what gives their lives meaning, value, & purpose. My approach is warm, direct, non-judgmental, & compassionate. I invite all big feelings, rigorous curiosity, self-compassion, & risk-taking. I am equally interested in what causes you pain as I am in what makes you laugh. I am a relational therapist who brings my training/knowledge, passion for social justice, genuine presence, empathy, practicality and humor to the work. I support my clients in honestly exploring their internal world, healing wounds, discovering their inherent strengths, and building a meaningful and authentic life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that the need for mental health care is universal and all individuals have the ability to disrupt harmful patterns, recognize unhelpful thoughts, and can acquire the skills necessary to thrive. I care about mental health care being accessible, so I offer a generous sliding scale option. I am deeply invested in social justice and dismantling systems of oppression. I engage in ongoing education and self-examination around my own biases. I am a member of the queer community, a huge nature lover, a winter enthusiast, a loving parent, and an animal whisperer, and an adventure seeker. If you want to learn more about how I can help, shoot me a message.
