No matter where you're from or what you've been through, you're welcome here and you're safe here. Come as you are - no need to have it together first. Many of my previous and current clients have experienced trauma, anxiety, and/or depression. No matter your experience, there is healing to be found!
My Background and Approach
I am an EMDR therapist, which means that I can employ this wildly innovative and holistically healing technique to any case! EMDR changes the way trauma and overwhelm lives in our bodies; it reprocesses the experiences that shape our negative beliefs and helps us to step out of the 'stuck.' I also do a lot of 'parts' work so we can get in touch with all the different facets of your personality, because these shape your experience (and often dictate your survival coping mechanisms!).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm a proud member of the ACLU, and a consistent donor to the NAACP and Greenpeace. I fully support the Black Lives Matter movement, the Dreamer's Act, and the LGBTQIA community. I try to be a good ally to all these folks and leverage my privilege when I can; I know that I don't always get it right, but I'm open to education, correction, and change!
