About My Clients
Many of my clients live with chronic illnesses and conditions, are in the process of redefining their sexuality, struggling with body related traumas, and/or creating a new relationship with their use of substances. I also see inter-abled couples, and couples moving through changes in sexual identity. I believe, and research supports the relationship is the most important part of therapy, I want to get to know you person-to-person and not expert-to-patient.
My Background and Approach
I completed my Masters at Lewis & Clark Graduate School and am currently working on my Ph.D at Oregon State University in Counseling. I am a licensed mental health therapist and certified substance use counselor in all West Coast states, and approved clinical supervisor in Oregon, and Washington as well as a National Certified Counselor. I've spent nearly a decade in community mental health and nonprofit co-occurring treatment and leadership. I'm also a yoga teacher and draw from hyper-mobile informed yoga practices. My clinical practice moved toward chronic illness therapy after I was diagnosed with MS in 2019, I live with hEDS, MCAS, Dysautonomia, and accompanying disorder stars across the chronic constellation. I use my experience in practice at times and will share with you when it's useful. When not working or studying I enjoy reading, music, cooking (playing with low histamine now) and adventuring with my partner and puppo.
