About My Clients
The majority of my experience has been working with adult individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar, schizoaffective, borderline personality disorder, and intellectual disability. In my private practice, I focus on burnout, boundary work, self-esteem issues, attachment wounds, relational issues, interpersonal difficulties, and trauma.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is first and foremost relational and deeply empathetic. I am strengths-based, person-centered, and approach treatment from an anti-oppressive lens. Utilizing relational and somatic strategies, I can assist with breaking cycles of harm you feel trapped in. I aim to provide a processing space that is collaborative, warm, non-judgmental, evidence-based, and most importantly, operates at your pace.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, I identify as sex positive (sex worker friendly), body/fat positive, kink/BDSM-aware & affirming, gender affirming & trans competent. I support racial justice, disability justice, environmental & climate justice. In order to truly reckon with the depth of any harm we must acknowledge both internal and external factors—such as the systems in which we live—that effect not only the experience of a trauma itself, but the path we light towards healing. Towards this end, when discussing symptoms I like to contextualize them within social, historical, political, and economic context to reduce feelings of shame, inadequacy, and depression.
