About My Clients
My clients are adolescents, young adults, and adults who come from diverse communities and hold a variety of identities. My clients often live life out loud and express themselves through their clothing and hobbies. My clients are often are facing challenges related to depression, anxiety, body image, self esteem, self harm or life changes.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is nonjudgmental and collaborative. I believe we all have the capacity to heal and grow. My goal is to give you individualized treatment by meeting you where you are while assisting you in making changes that matter most to you. Therapy is a place for you to develop a better understanding of yourself, learn practical skills for daily living, better utilize strengths you already possess, and challenge negative ways of thinking that keep you stuck in old cycles. We will increase your coping skills and utilize what you’ve learned from your unique experiences to support your individual needs and desires. My experience includes working with individuals through a variety of different challenges such as anxiety, social anxiety, depression, and life stressors. I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach pulling strategies mainly from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I support organizations that fight against mental health stigma and support individuals across all genders, ethnicities and sexual orientations. Politically, I am left leaning and progressive. I love dungeons and dragons, fantasy games and books. I joined the plant craze during covid and have about 30+ now. I believe AI shouldn’t replace artists. I play video games but I’m not that great at them! Ethically, I believe that we should treat each other with respect and kindness whenever we can.
