About My Clients
Do you struggle with stress and anxiety keeping you up at night? Maybe you've been dealing with chronic pain issues - such as chronic migraines, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis or something else that causes frequent pain and discomfort. You've got many goals and ambitions, however, feel stifled with the physical and emotional impact of these issues. Sometimes the pain can feel unbearable, unrelenting and paralyzing. You sometimes may wonder if you are all alone in these feelings.
My Background and Approach
I work with my clients using techniques that will best suit their specific individualized needs. I use a collaborative approach, since I believe you are the expert of your own life. I believe that the therapeutic relationship can be a significant force in facilitating positive changes, therefore, making sure that we are on the same page is always important. I want to make sure you feel seen and heard, as the therapy room is a safe and non-judgmental space. I will be present every step of the way, guiding you and providing the necessary tools to reduce pain, both physically and psychologically. My treatment approach combines frameworks from Mindfulness-based therapy, Cognitive-behavioral therapy and Humanistic styles. Because the mind-body connection is inherently there, I will also assist in providing tools to manage anxiety/panic and depression.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a white, cis-woman, it is my goal to be constantly aware and learning about struggles specific to BIPOC and the LGBTQIA+ communities. I'd consider myself an ally and I also understand that my job is to listen and advocate. I am also passionate about animals and the outdoors. I enjoy hiking, practicing yoga and spending time with family and friends outside of work.
