About My Clients
I offer individual, group and couple's therapy, specifically focusing on LGBT+ affirmative therapy. I utilize trauma-informed care to help with intimacy issues, internalized phobia and shame, sexual trauma, anxiety, depression, and emotion regulation. I work holistically, creating individualized sessions based on your specific needs.
My Background and Approach
I got my Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles where I specialized in LGBTQ+ Affirmative Therapy. This is a population I care deeply about and am dedicated to continued care and therapy for the specific challenges and needs of the LGBT+ community. Coming from a background in arts and entertainment, I bring a holistic energy to the room, integrating the mind-body connection in psychotherapy with mindfulness, creative arts, and humor. I am sensitive to the process of psychotherapy – knowing finding the right person can be difficult and exhausting. I offer warmth, empathy, and client-centered focus to collaborate with clients in a non-judgmental way and take their lead. You are not alone; I am here to help.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that most people are either stuck repeating a cycle of generational trauma, or carrying the burden of bravely breaking that cycle. You deserve to break that cycle by discovering and embracing your best self, without fear or shame. But I understand that this is not always easy. I can help you break down the barriers that prevent you from achieving your goals and assist you on a transformative journey to becoming the person you want to be. Therapy is a process of the human spirit requiring courage, creativity, and self-compassion and I welcome you to join me.
