About My Clients
I am looking for clients who are interested in integrating mindfulness into the counseling process. This means training your mind to heal through being in the present moment. I see clients from late adolescence to retirement age. I am inclusive of all gender identities. I specialize in helping clients work through major life transitions, whether that be marriage, divorce, job change/loss, faith transitions, or change in life stage.
My Background and Approach
I have a background in working with people with disabilities in the career counseling realm. I also have extensive experience working with people experiencing domestic violence, homelessness, and addiction. My approach includes principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-based practices and compassion-focused therapy. I like to provide actionable tools that you can take with you to span the healing process both inside and outside of the office. I also offer guided meditation group sessions for those interested.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that none of us are alone in our suffering and that the counseling space should be a place to emotionally relax and retrieve the parts of you that have fallen through the cracks. I am honored to be your guide through that process. We have to filter ourselves everywhere we go in life and my priority is to make the counseling experience feel safe enough to leave the filters behind get reacquainted with yourself.
