About My Clients
In my practice, I find deep fulfillment in working with individuals who are navigating the intersections of trauma, disability, and identity. My ideal clients are those who seek a therapeutic space where their experiences are honored, and where they can explore their identities and challenges in a compassionate and empowering environment. If you resonate with these aspects of my practice, I would be honored to support you in your journey.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is eclectic, drawing from person-centered, feminist, and systemic theories. Feminist and systemic theory informs my practice by highlighting the importance of social and cultural context and power dynamics in understanding individual experiences. Using a person-centered approach, I focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship that fosters trust, empathy, and genuine understanding. I believe that the client is the expert, and I work to center and validate the issues my clients bring to sessions. With a focus on co-occurring disorders, trauma, and disability, I have extensive experience working with both adults and youth across various clinical and recreational settings. My background is also specialized in post-acute rehabilitation for acquired brain injury, where I have supported individuals through complex physical and emotional challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My beliefs are all about compassion for others and that humans are fundamentally good. I believe that as a therapist, it is essential to support causes dedicated to human rights, healthcare, housing, and much more. For me, the personal is political and I strive to include this in every aspect of my life.
