My Background and Approach
I began my psychology journey at Saddleback Community College, earning an Associate of Arts degree before transferring to UC Santa Barbara, where I completed my Bachelor’s in Psychology with a Minor in Applied Psychology. During this time, I discovered my passion for working with children, adolescents, and families. I earned a Master’s in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University. This provided a strong foundation for supporting individuals and families. Through internships, I gained experience working with at-risk youth in prevention and counseling programs, solidifying my dedication. I then joined an outpatient program assisting families with children and adolescents facing moderate to severe mental illnesses, allowing me to make a meaningful impact on young lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In my private practice, I am committed to creating an inclusive, affirming, and compassionate space where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued. Mental health care should be accessible and responsive to the diverse challenges people face, including inequality, human rights issues, and the unique experiences of marginalized communities.
