About My Clients
Capaz Counseling is tele-therapy created for folx based in NY who are experiencing the impact of conscious or unconscious interpersonal trauma in relationships with others and/or themselves. Capaz means capable and inspires this practice’s mission to build on the fact that we are all capable of deepening mind and body experiences for catharsis, balance, and progress among the varying parts of ourselves.
My Background and Approach
Jessenia Ramirez is the founder of Capaz Counseling, a clinical supervisor to therapists in training, and a Latina Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in Attachment and Trauma Therapy. She serves all folx residing in New York who seek understanding of how their patterns have been shaped and how there is capacity for growth within those patterns. She welcomes all identities, and specializes in supporting Latinx/e, LGBTQIAGNC, and BIPOC professionals, young adults, and new parents. Jessenia has provided therapy to those in hospital, non-profit, and community mental health clinic settings. She’s worked with adults, children, and families throughout the years. Ultimately, her experiences led to her focus on exploring patterns that often appear in anxiety, depression, interpersonal trauma, and identity development all of which informs the relational lens practice that is Capaz Counseling.
