About My Clients
Many of my clients are professionals who are unsatisfied, struggling or questioning certain areas of their lives or themselves. Whether it be relationships at work or at home, or a sense of purpose in the world or their community, these clients are looking for support to better understand themselves and what they want. I collaborate with clients to develop more clarity as well as face issues that get in the way such as depression, anxiety, self esteem issues and pain in order to move forward.
My Background and Approach
I have a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). I also had 2 years of specialized psychoanalytic training from Access Institute to work with adults, couples, elders and children. Many colleagues, friends and clients have described my style as warm, grounded, supportive and direct. I work with many adults of varying backgrounds focus in the following areas: relationship struggles (romantic, professional, friendships, family), anxiety, depression, trauma, identity challenges, stuck creatively or professionally, addiction, grief and loss. You may, like many others, feel alone or even unjustified in your feelings and struggles in these areas or others. It is important to receive understanding, respect and support for your unique experience, whatever it may be.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have a lot of experience working with female identified clients and women's issues. I am also committed to promoting social justice and have specific training on working with the complexities of cultural and social difference in the experience of racial minorities (black, brown, POC), LGBTQ, disabled and other marginalized peoples.
