About My Clients
Are you seeking a space where you can be seen and respected as your authentic self? Or to speak openly about your unique experience with mental health and the ups, downs, and twists in life? As a clinician, I host an affirming and empowering space to do just this. Individuals and groups (chosen and biological families, couples, polycules, friend groups, etc.) are all welcome to request services with me.
My Background and Approach
My work is to provide an affirming space where folks can receive help with and/or be curious about gender identity, sexual/romantic orientation, mental health, self-care, and overall well-being. In addition to specializing in serving LGBTQ+ communities, I have over 4 years of experience working with neurodivergent communities and supporting incarcerated individuals. I integrate several modalities into my treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills, narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy. Any therapeutic intervention I apply to a client’s unique needs is paired with a queer and gender affirming, social justice oriented lens. I take an empowering psychoeducational approach to therapy, focusing on teaching clients how to use and practice skills in session so they can apply these skills independently in their lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal experience as a queer nonbinary woman and a mental health journey of my own led me to this work as a mental health advocate for folks in the LGBTQ+ community. In my time as a clinician, I have found that I most enjoy working with Trans and Gender Diverse youth. In a climate where Trans and Gender Diverse folks' identities, rights, and safety are consistently attacked and erased, I feel especially passionate about providing a space where youth can be their authentic selves and receive support in overcoming the obstacles that come with navigating these challenging times.
