About My Clients
Are you ready to move on from your past and begin the process of healing? Maybe you've been deeply hurt, and despite how strong you are, your trauma continues to invade your thoughts, create discomfort in your body, or impact your relationships and day-to-day life. If you can relate to this, you are not alone. I work with teen girls (14+), adult women, and LGBTQ+ folks with trauma (childhood abuse/neglect, domestic violence, sexual assault) to help them start living life on their own terms.
My Background and Approach
I have been in the field of human services since 2013, and working with trauma survivors since 2018. I received my Master of Social Work from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services, with a Psychology minor, from Saint Leo University. I've completed internships in community mental health, education, and domestic violence organizations. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida, a Level 2 Brainspotting Practitioner, and a trauma survivor. I bring passion as well as professional and personal experience into my work. Therapy with me is supportive, flexible, and personalized to your needs. I am very strengths-based and LGBTQ-affirming. Our sessions may include Brainspotting, mindfulness, and humor, among other techniques. I show up authentically, and provide a warm, nonjudgmental space for you to do the same. Together, we’ll collaborate on goals, navigate challenges, and learn new coping strategies to improve your overall wellbeing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about helping others navigate and heal from their developmental and interpersonal trauma. My practice is committed to serving marginalized populations. I have a lot of experience with adolescent girls, women, and individuals belonging to the LGBTQ+ community. I believe that these people are especially in need of a safe space in which they can be their authentic selves. I feel strongly about empowering my clients and providing them with unconditional positive regard. I also enjoy working with clients of various faiths and spiritual beliefs. I believe therapy should be accessible to anyone who wants it. While I do not take insurance at this time, I offer an affordable self-pay rate. I do have limited reduced-fee slots available upon request for those with financial need. Please ask about this if this is something you're needing.
