Sometimes all we need is someone to listen to us, talk with us, and hold space for us...and sometimes we need a little more. No matter what your reason for seeking counseling is, I am here for you; to work with you through all of life's twists and turns. Helping you to find meaning through the confusion and strength and confidence from the things you feel hold you back.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Radford University in Radford, VA in 2022. Before that, I was a professional interior designer in NYC and Denver, CO, and as nerdy as it sounds, I can say that both professions know that "it's whats on the inside that counts". I approach therapy from a humanistic and holistic lens, viewing each client as a whole person with their own unique perspectives and experiences. I draw from a mix of different modalities such as person-centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Gestalt. I believe that therapy is a two way relationship between client and therapist. I offer a safe, welcoming space for you to be heard and seen without judgement or criticism. My goal is to help guide and encourage you to find your own purpose and meaning in life. Together we can work towards strengthening your resiliency from all of life's obstacles.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel comfortable talking about anything they like without fear of judgment or unwanted advice. I try to provide such a space for all of of my clients. As a proud member in the LGBTQ+ community, I deeply understand the unique challenges we face as individuals and as a community at large. I believe humor is healing and encourage jokes and laughing when it is appropriate in sessions. I stand for social justice and I believe everyone deserves to be loved, listened to, understood and treated the way they wish to be treated.
