About My Clients
Do you ever feel not accepted for who you are? That you step into a world that doesn't feel built for you, that forces traditions and norms that can leave you feeling like "this just isn't me!" Sometimes you feel that you need to take on roles and identities that are at odds with your authentic self. Do you feel like your family, parents, and friends just don't understand aspects of the true you? Has this led to feelings of sadness, hopelessness, disconnection, and discontent? I'm here to help.
My Background and Approach
Jonathan attended CSU Stanislaus and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies and a Master of Social Work, with his culminating graduate project focusing on Mental Health Providers Who Serve LGBTQ+ Youth in the Central Valley. Jonathan is currently attending California Institute of Integral Studies for his Doctorate in Human Sexuality. He has an interest in helping the LGBTQ+ community find connection, hope and mental wellness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Jonathan believes in the right to self-determination, that each person has a right to decide how to live their life best for themselves. That each person can succeed with the right tools and help, and that each person is deserving of respect, dignity, and the basic necessities of life. Jonathan is currently active with MoPride, the longest running LGBTQ+ organization in Stanislaus County.
