I am a queer, first-generation, Afro-Latina (she/her pronouns), licensed independent clinical social worker out of MA.

About My Clients

In my work as a social worker, I have supported survivors of relational trauma (intimate partner violence), folx on their recovery journey from substance misuse, and those managing challenging life transitions. I am currently trained in supporting folx who struggle with depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, poor boundary setting, lack of self-compassion, and poverty trauma.

My Background and Approach

My first few years in the profession, I worked on crisis stabilization and management in hospital and community settings. I also spent a few years, supporting folx looking to address their substance use. My current approach to therapy encompasses a humanistic, trauma informed, strengths-based, and relational attachment approach to supporting my clients on their journey to self-compassion and self-discovery.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I strongly believe in the power of self-compassion, self-love, and giving oneself grace. In my therapeutic space, I often stress the benefits of taking active steps to learn how to treat yourself with the kindness and love that you deserve from yourself and others. One of the best motivations and intervention tools can be self-compassion and positive regard for oneself. I very much understand that developing this part of oneself can be difficult, as we live in a society that greatly profits from our dislike of ourselves. Despite this challenge, I strongly believe that we all have the capacity to overcome this and develop this skill set.
