About My Clients
I largely work with clients who identify as LGBTQIA+, sex workers, kinky, and/or non-monogamous. I've been involved with those communities since before I became a clinician, and continued to work with them through my schooling. While I strive to be neurodivergent-affirming, body positive, and anti-racist, those are all areas that I have more personal and informal experience with, which is why you won't see them checked off under my "specialties." Please feel free to reach out with questions!
My Background and Approach
During my time in school, I worked with the LGBTQIA+, kink, non-monogamous, and sex work communities in both therapeutic and advocacy capacities. I plan to pursue further education to become a sex therapist. I use a client-centered approach that focuses on the relationship between the clinician and client. I use tools from relational therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-informed therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy in addition to Mentalization-Based Treatment. I work with clients on a range of issues including depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I also specialize in using Cognitive Processing Therapy to treat PTSD.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an active member of the LGBTQIA+, kink, and non-monogamy communities, and a vocal supporter of sex workers' rights. I believe that any progressive change in our society will have to involve breaking down oppressive systems and structures.
