About My Clients
I work with teens and adults around issues related to healing from the impacts of trauma, exploring gender identity and sexuality, going through significant life transitions, and navigating relationship changes and challenges, including issues related to consensual non-monogamy, sex, and emotional connection and intimacy. I also work with LGBTQ+ parents, parents of LGBTQ+ kids, and parents balancing the challenges of parenting and other life stressors.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Addictions Counselor in the state of Colorado. I integrate numerous therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and narrative therapy, to honor your wholeness- mind, body, spirit, and social context. In sessions, I am warm and compassionate and come with a genuine desire to know you and support you wherever you are on your healing journey. My work is grounded in systems theory (situating our personal experiences and stories within larger familial, social, and cultural contexts and stories) and queer theory (rooted in challenging normative assumptions and unhinging binaries). I work from a strengths-based, trauma-informed, intersectional and anti-oppression lens to support you in connecting safely with your body and emotions, getting out of disempowering patterns, stepping more fully into your authenticity, and moving into greater alignment with your values.
