About My Clients
I am dedicated to working with queer, trans, non-binary, and gender expansive clients as well as to working with people who have experienced challenges in close relationships or trauma, including through systems of oppression. I enjoy providing support in a range of areas such as exploring relationships, addressing anxiety or depression, understanding and experiencing healing around past trauma, fleshing out identity, purpose, and belonging in the world, and working with borderline features.
My Background and Approach
It is important to me to work in a way that is trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, affirming of LGBT+ people including people on the ace spectrum and intersex people, anti-racist, affirming of neurodivergent people, not pathologizing, sex positive, body positive, sw friendly, and kink- and polyam- affirming. I have experience working with diverse populations and particularly with LGBT+ community members and people who have experienced trauma. My main approach is internal family systems in which I have completed Level 1 training. I also use relational therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I think of therapy as a collaborative space to foster curiosity, openness, genuineness, and growth in areas that you would like to focus on. I value transparency and centering your desires in order to achieve this. I do not believe that our therapeutic work happens in a vacuum and am committed to being attentive to how different systems may affect our work and your life.
