About My Clients
Almost all of my clients come to me for help with anxiety, OCD, or related disorders. Many (about half) come to me because they also have some form of neurodiversity, such as autism or ADHD. I have specialization in both areas and understand how they can intersect. All reached out because they are struggling with difficult thoughts and feelings, and are experiencing high levels of distress or have withdrawn from their life, avoiding their fears, but also making their world smaller.
My Background and Approach
I use evidence-based therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) to provide a supportive environment for growth and recovery. I tailor treatment to each individual, ensuring that you feel understood and empowered throughout your journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I know that reaching out for help is hard. Anxiety might be telling you it's too risky, it's not worth trying because nothing helps, or even that talking about it will make it worse. I want you to know that even though anxiety is clever and very compelling, that doesn't mean it's right. I invite you to call for a consult and find out for yourself. My goal is to help people live a life that is meaningful to them, in a way that works for them. I see myself as a guide in this process, using my own personal experiences, education, and compassion to help others find their own path in this life and to explore ways around, over, and most commonly, through, the obstacles that life puts in our way. Welcome to the first step on this path.
