My Background and Approach
With a background in exercise science, I transitioned from the health and wellness field to become a therapist. My approach integrates somatic practices and kinesiology, allowing us to process and release challenges from your body. Armed with a diverse toolbox of practical skills, my goal is to alleviate your distress and empower you with new tools for everyday life. I recognize you as the expert in your experience, and provide a client centered approach to facilitate growth and change at your own pace. I am here to help you come out feeling empowered and confident with new skills to tackle what life throws at you. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Navigating various spectrums has shaped my nuanced worldview; as a queer/ace/grey-sexual, neurospicy individual in continuous recovery from substances, codependency, and capitalism. My practice is firmly rooted in anti-racist principles, cultural humility, transformative justice, disability justice, and the "health at every size" philosophy. I'm deeply passionate about exploring the intersection of our bodies with larger oppressive systems and understanding how they foster disconnection. As a white individual, I'm committed to dismantling my participation in white supremacist culture within myself and my communities. I'm an avid learner, delving into transformative justice practices, historical and intergenerational trauma, and how our bodies bear the weight of living in a capitalist system.
