My Background and Approach
I've been trained in relational, creative, and trauma informed approaches with a social justice core. Outside of my private practice, I work in a community mental health clinic with youth and families. I support folks who have navigated systems, and help clients to find their own center of power in the midst of disempowering systems and institutions. My specialities at the clinic are supporting gender expansive and queer youth as well as providing resources and consultation to their families, schools, and provider teams. My work is enhanced by my art, humor, writing, social justice activism, and my own mental health experiences which help me to bring a unique perspective, compassionate understanding, and an affirming stance to help you to explore and embrace your own stories and inner wisdom. This approach helps my clients to later reflect that they are more able to notice their strengths, access comfort and connection, to express themselves in more free and healthy ways.
