About My Clients

Life can be full of stressors and setbacks. You’re doing the best you can, yet the challenges you face may still feel overwhelming. At times, it might seem like you’re stuck, unable to move forward. You understand the importance of balance, but finding it often feels out of reach. Deep down, you know something needs to change. Together, we’ll identify your goals and work toward meaningful solutions .

My Background and Approach

I frequently incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy into my practice while also drawing from other approaches, including Acceptance and Committment and Dialectical Behavioral Therapies. My training in Solution-Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing allows me to help clients set meaningful goals and maintain focus on progress. For couples, I rely on Gottman methods to support relationship growth. Together, we’ll focus on developing coping strategies, improving communication skills, establishing healthy boundaries, and more to help you achieve your goals. With over a decade of experience in the helping profession in Georgia, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Regardless of the person or their circumstances, I have always found dignity and worth in everyone. I have a profound belief in the human capacity for growth and adaptation. People come to therapy not to remain stagnant, but to seek insight and change.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have a profound belief in the human capacity for growth and adaptation. This belief inspired me to become a social worker. I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including refugees, foster children, those living with HIV, the unhoused, students, families, and couples. Regardless of the person or their circumstances, I have always found dignity and worth in everyone. These experiences motivated me to pursue an education that enables me to assist others through evidence-based principles and ongoing research. The mental health field is continuously evolving, which is why I pursue ongoing education to enhance my ability to serve others. I have completed courses in Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Gottman Couples Therapy. I have attended training sessions to improve my cultural competency—what I prefer to call cultural humility- LGBT issues, ADHD, SI, and more.
