About My Clients
I work with quite a variety of clients - of all different ages (13+), identities (LGBTQIA), races (I do only speak English, though :/), and "presenting problems" (e.g., trauma, anxiety, life transitions). I love all people and would be happy to hear from you, whoever you are. The common thread in all of my sessions, then, is the importance of the therapeutic relationship and its journey toward growth and healing. To learn more about what I mean, read on!
My Background and Approach
It is in relationships that we find both harm and healing. Thus, through the authentic and unique therapeutic relationship, I desire to create a safe space of non-judgment, respect, and care so that you may explore aspects of yourself that are not yet fully known and live life with a better sense of choice and opportunity. My hope is that you will find your voice and learn how to use it in a kind way for yourself and your relationships. At times, this may show itself in sessions through things like conflict; this is great and nothing to shy away from! The therapeutic relationship is meant to be one of stability, where you can share all of your feelings and thoughts, while also knowing that you are safe and cared for. May you be empowered to be your truest and best self, both inside and outside of the therapy room. I am certified in Relationally-Focused Psychodynamic Therapy. I hold a MACP from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology and a BS from the University of Florida.
