About My Clients
My clients feel confused about how to set boundaries and want to stop people pleasing. They feel worried and disconnected from themselves often. They feel like you can't control their thoughts sometimes. They might be worried about what people think of them, their bodies, work, family, trauma, health (fill inthe blank).
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is grounded in helping you connect with your inner wisdom and capacity for growth, healing, and transformation. Much of my work is rooted in parts work, and we'll work together to help you understand and support the wounded and protective parts of yourself that might be affecting how you feel and process things. Additionally, I use ERP and ACT techniques to help you manage intrusive thoughts, feelings of dread, anxiety, and panic. With curiosity and compassion, we can explore your experiences within the context of your environment, intersecting identities, and personality. My aim will be to empower you to discover your strengths, navigate barriers, and update outdated patterns. I'm passionate about creating a therapeutic relationship grounded in safety and trust that offers you a place to feel accepted and challenged to grow.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
It's really important to me to offer a space where people can come and be their truest most authentic self. I think that's when we feel the best - when we're unapologetically ourselves. I could give you all the tools in the world - the deep breathing, the routines, the "secret" tips that you've probably seen all over tik tok. But if you can't understand and care for your innermost child, or teenager, or that part of you that you're worried no one will ever love, it's hard to move past and feel empowered in life. I'm a huge believer in how our environment shapes our experience of life, and I take into account all of the things that may be impacting your mood and mental health. Like the systems we live in, and the news we ingest, and the people we're around. It's all connected. Personally, I love being outside, my animals, potlucks, and dancing. I'd love to get to know you and support you in feeling more like yourself everyday so you can do the things you've always wanted to do.
