About My Clients
Grief is one of the hardest experiences and deserving of careful care and support. If you are feeling unsure or lost, know that you are not alone. In our work together, there will be no platitudes but a space for you to move forward instead of moving on. In addition to grief, I work with those in life transitions, desiring to improve their daily functioning and managing symptoms of their ADHD. As a queer therapist, I enjoy working with the LGBTQ+ community and providing gender affirming care.
My Background and Approach
With a background in case management, I strive to tailor my approach to your specific needs, creating structured check ins, prompts, homework, or not! You deserve a space that works for you that allows your to reach your goals. I have volunteered and worked in grief and loss for over 10 years, completing several trainings and hold certificates in areas of Mother Loss and Grief Professional. Together you will learn to understand what grief means for you, find healthy coping and ways to build lasting connections. Grief can be found in many life experiences, which also comes with late and life diagnosis of ADHD. Focusing on developing strategies to improve your daily functioning, we will explore what works best for you so you can overcome the challenges that are currently presenting. I am also trained to provide letters for gender affirming surgery, exploration of gender identity and orientation and providing a safe space for you to be yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a part of the LGBTQ+ community, I believe in trans rights and all identities being valid. I believe in diversity and the need for more accessible and equitable spaces. I believe that grief lasts a lifetime and is not linear. Above all else, I believe that each person holds intrinsic worth, which means no matter what you have experienced or been through, how "damaged" you may believe yourself to be, you have worth, just for being you.
