About My Clients
I see clients from a wide array of populations, most commonly the LGBTQIA+ community. Being an out transwoman myself I enjoy working with the wider LGBTQIA+ community. Additionally I work with medical professionals, tech professionals, sex workers and artists. I am interested in working with all populations and backgrounds generally speaking as long as they are adults.
My Background and Approach
I have always been interested in working in a trauma setting and it was my focus while getting my masters degree at Northwestern University. More broadly I like to work in a client focused context understanding that all human beings have different needs, backgrounds and issues unique to them. Additionally I seek to always take into account my biases and lack of lived experience on a wide range of subjects including ethnic background, gender identity and experiences of discrimination. At my current practice I have been practicing sex therapy with clients and its intersections with trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I seek liberation for all people of any marginalized population whether that be in gender, class, race, sexuality, ethnic background or disability. I believe that true psychological actualization comes from understanding who you are and your place in the world as only you can understand it. Therefore it is imperative to peoples mental health that they understand themselves and move away from internalized bigotry reinforced often through trauma.
