About My Clients
I primarily work with adults who are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, undergoing sexuality/gender-related issues, sociocultural issues, relationship issues, and life transitions. As a new mom myself, I am also interested in providing perinatal mental health support.
My Background and Approach
I strongly believe in creating a safe and welcoming space for you to feel comfortable enough to share your stories. My approach to therapy is collaborative, as I want you to feel seen and heard. You are the expert on your life, and I am here to offer guidance and support along the way. I work from a humanistic, multicultural, social justice, intersectionality, and decolonizing lens. I primarily use techniques from person-centered, relational-cultural, narrative, cognitive behavioral (CBT), mindfulness, self-compassion, solution-focused, psychodynamic, and other therapies as needed. While therapy can feel uncomfortable at times, I hope to provide a safe environment for you to process, build awareness, explore, unlearn/relearn, and find authenticity. Thank you for taking this step towards your growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a South Asian, 1.5-generation immigrant woman, I am consistently learning and striving to be anti-oppressive, anti-racist, queer-affirming, gender-affirming, climate-aware, and nonjudgmental in my personal and professional life. I believe in finding balance between individualism and collectivism in order to live a more authentic life while caring for both ourselves and each other.
