About My Clients
Neuro-Abundance Counseling was created specifically for the neurodivergent by the neurodivergent, we do things a bit differently and our clients tend to like that! Many clients that are seen come in with a similar story: "I have been to other therapists before, but no one really got me". Here at NACC, we get it, because we have it! As a result, we pride ourselves in creating long lasting relationships with clients that focus on support, connection, education, advocacy, growth, and YOU!
My Background and Approach
At Neuro-Abundance Counseling Center, we specialize in evidence-based practice which involves the delivery of scientifically-supported treatments, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, while integrating Expressive Art Therapy when applicable. This blend of therapies helps engage focus, caters experience to client, and allows multi-modal processing. In addition, because we are catered to serve the neurodivergent population, treatment is first and foremost, neuro-affirming. We value your experience, we listen to your truth, and we support your needs. We love getting to know you and what makes you unique and we are here to celebrate those with you!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At NACC, we believe that being a neurodivergent individual should not mean that your therapy experience should be compromised or that you should tolerate seeing a therapist who does not honor who you are and what makes you that way. At NACC, we believe that having a differently wired brain means that treatment should honor those differences, not try and train them away or deny them. At NACC, we believe that many of us who have differently wired brains, often have other differences that are important and special to who they are, and we want to nurture all of those parts with you.
