About My Clients
I believe we are all unique individuals who deserve connection and support and that everyone has the capacity for self-healing and for making great change. I work with a wide variety of clients including teens, adults, adolescents, couples and families for a variety of reasons including relationship issues, grief, depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, LGBT issues, anger management, mood disorders and life transitions.
My Background and Approach
I received my Master’s in Clinical Community Counseling from Johns Hopkins University in Clinical Counseling, and has worked in a variety of settings. I have spent numerous years working to help survivors of trauma and domestic violence. My approach to counseling is compassionate and relaxed with holistic and evidence-based foundations—integrating both the science and art of therapy. I create a warm environment in which there is honesty, insight, mutual work and real progress. Our relationship is truly the most important aspect of our time together and I want you to feel free to use your voice and be authentic- no filters necessary! Whether I am working with you as a couple, a parent, or on your individual development, we will ask and answer the hard questions and put in real work in an effort to uncover why things are the way they are, strengthen your relationships, and provide practical actions, skills, and approaches so you can feel better and more connected.
