About My Clients
Tired of repeating negative patterns? Are you looking to build healthier relationships? Do you need to process a traumatic event that has affected you? I work with adult clients who are ready for a change and are needing support as they grow and heal. Many of my clients have multiple marginalized identities (neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, global majority), or have experienced a traumatic event. I also work with graduate students and therapist as they recover from compassion fatigue.
My Background and Approach
By using Trauma Informed Psychodynamic Theory I work with my clients to provide insight into how past experiences might still be affecting them today. I also integrate active interventions that resonate with the client, teach effective coping skills, and equip them with the tools to make positive changes in their life. I offer a warm, collaborative environment, free from judgement and pressure, where you will be heard, and your lived experiences will be honored. I understand that fit and vibe are important, and it takes more than a few dozen words to build a connection, so I offer a free 15-minute discovery call for you to determine if I’m the right therapist for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Besides cultural humility and years of trauma training, you will see aspects of my true self just as I hope my client bring their genuine self into the therapy session. This means you will see humor, piercings, dyed hair, tattoos, and the occasional hoodie. I adore animals and have my own dog, who you might occasionally hear in the background. As for my interests, when I’m not in sessions or trainings, you’ll see me engaging in my own self-care by being out in nature or trying out aerial hammock and lyra classes.
