About My Clients
I provide individual and relational therapy to clients from all walks of life. From ace, kinky femmes to religious monogamous couples, my therapy room is a nonjudgmental and shame-free space for all identities and presentations. Through my decade long experience in human sexuality, therapy training, and clinical experience, I have specialized skill working with BIPOC, queer, gender expansive, polyamorous, and kinky clients.
My Background and Approach
I believe that all my clients have inherent worth and truly desire the chance to grow and heal. Rather than assuming I know my client’s experience, I utilize an intersectional feminist lens to holistically understand my client’s life and struggles. I aim to help my client’s feel empowered and confident in navigating their sexual and romantic lives. Rather than one set therapy modality, I utilize an integrated approach to create a personalized therapy experience for each client. I consistently give space for my client to actively engage in the therapy process, to thoughtfully challenge themselves, and empathize with their own internal lives. Through playing an active role in the therapy room, my clients experience positive change and growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a mixed race, fat, queer woman, I know the value in looking in-between the lines. My work is rooted in anti-oppressive and intersectional frameworks to understand the many external, internal, and intergenerational layers impacting my client’s lives. By consistently viewing the ins and outs of my client’s experience, my client instead can focus on the change they want to accomplish rather than the stresses given to them. My clients often trust me with the most vulnerable parts of their identity because they know that they will be understood and respected.
