About My Clients

I am passionate about working with queer & trans BIPOC, young adults, immigrants, children of immigrants. As part of these communities, you might feel anxious, depressed, misunderstood. You might have spent years catering to others that you struggle to understand yourself. You might carry expectations from family and feel caught among cultures. You might be unpacking years of childhood and generational trauma. I see you trying your best and am here to support you in getting back to yourself.

My Background and Approach

I will make room for you to reimagine a life with hope, care, and joy. In our sessions, you will find yourself able to just be: no expectation - only warmth, curiosity, collaboration. I regularly incorporate parts work and somatic practices drawn from attachment and polyvagal theories. Occasionally, you might meet one or all 3 of my tuxedo cats! Throughout our time together, you get to decide how you want therapy to serve you—whether it is taking a deep dive into your past or untangling the transitional, day-to-day challenges. Your needs can change over time, and that’s okay!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a bilingual Vietnamese immigrant and a queer person with ADHD. These identities inform how I make sense of the world as well as how I approach therapy. I understand that we are complex beings with unique intersections of privileged and oppressive identities that impact the way we act and respond to others. I will actively co-create with you a space to track your day-to-day automatic responses to distress and joy, unpack beliefs and experiences stored in your body, and reconnect with what fills up your cup. I will consciously take into consideration the systemic and historical contexts that impact your life, including the experiences of those who come before you. I will place the utmost care into our therapeutic relationship and will check in with you to ensure we are on the same page in terms of your goals and progress.
