About My Clients
Many of my clients are disabled, queer, and trans. I love to support individuals and families in finding and shifting cycles that keep them stuck. This can look like the cycle of anxiety that keeps swirling and growing no matter how much you try to avoid or reassure it. Or like families that are caught in challenging cycles of communication, who are working to shift things but feel caught in old patterns. My clients are often impacted by multiple layers of social and internalized stigma.
My Background and Approach
Dr. Loren earned their PhD in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in San Francisco in 2021 and is completing supervised postdoctoral training. They have particular expertise in working with clients seeking support with: anxiety, OCD, ADHD, depression, trauma, bereavement, and identity development around disability, gender, and sexuality. They have extensive experience in cross collaborating with educators to support the access needs of students with disabilities who have IEP’s or 504 plans. This translates toward supporting families to effectively advocate for their child or teen's access needs, and supporting adults, particularly adults who identify ADHD later in life, to clarify and build robust accommodation strategies. They have completed certification training in Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD through the Center for Anxiety and Behavior Therapy. ERP is the gold standard treatment for OCD.
