I'm glad you're here. I work with individuals and couples to overcome anxiety and depression, trauma and attachment wounds, and negative beliefs about the self, among a variety of other concerns.
My Background and Approach
I believe in a holistic and collaborative approach to counseling in which traditional therapeutic intervention can be most effective when coupled with appropriate self-care and meaningful connection to others. In my work, I am most often drawn to EMDR, CBT, DBT, and solution-focused brief therapy to target critical self-talk, promote greater mindfulness, and heal from past traumas. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which is an evidence-based approach to treat a variety of clinical problems. With EMDR therapy we can reduce and eliminate disturbing symptoms in a shorter period of time, such as feeling tense, recurring self-defeating patterns of behavior that result in conflicts, preoccupation with worries, and sleep disturbances. In addition, you can get relief from unconscious patterns of surviving, such as attachment to substances, people-pleasing, or disordered eating.

I believe that everyone has the capacity to heal. To choose yourself, by seeking out support, is the first step in living a fulfilling life.
